Sew Cute Tuesday
This past week has been a doozy! William had a doctors appointment on Tuesday, and he was not very happy he had to get a shot, and then I had a doctors appointment on Thursday. Little baby is doing everything he 's supposed to, head down, constantly kicking me in the ribs ;)
Bernie of Needle & Foot created this wonderful 241 Tote by Noodlehead.
Now it is time to link up your finishes or works in progress from the previous week. You can link up directly from instagram as well - and be sure to tag #SewCuteTuesday and @youngtexanmama on IG so we can see what you're working on!
Since I had so many mommy duties this past week, not much sewing happened. I worked ahead on my #100days100blocks so each day I've just been posting the block picture on each corresponding day. I have been working on a new cross stitch project in the evenings when I go to bed. I love having cross stitch to work on before bed, because it relaxes me more than reading a book. This is the Trick-or-Treat Costume Club by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery.
That is what I've been working on, now lets see some of the pretty things that were shared last week!
Kathi of Run 'N Stitch is working on these beautiful applique blocks for a Christmas quilt! The cardinal block is my favorite :D
Last but not least, Teje of Nero's Post III shared a fantastic tutorial on how she creates her patchwork pieces.
Hi Hilary! Thank you so much for featuring my mini quilt! Doctors visits are not fun. Happy to hear everything is well with the baby! What a great idea to do gross stitching before sleeping. Usually I can't resist IG and then I think all the ideas during the night. I like to read, too but perhaps could find stitching project for the late evenings. Have a lovely week! x Teje

It's always a nice surprise to see my projects featured on a page. Thank you Hilary! It sounds like you had a busy week. Your cross stitch fabric has such a tiny weave. I hope you have lots of time to quilt this week!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Kathi :D It was quite a busy week, and thankfully this one has been much calmer already!
DeleteMommy duties always win out! I love having a hand project for the evenings too! Bindings, EPP, hand quilting...anything at all!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing more of your cross stitch. Hand stitching is always very relaxing.
