Shining Stars Block of the Month
It's official! I finally got my Shining Stars Block of the Month quilt top finished! I have been working on this baby since this past March when the BOM started. I was doing great with staying on track, but then my quilting ADHD kicked in and I started a bunch of other projects.
It was nasty outside today so I couldn't take it outside and get a good picture, so hopefully the weather clears up tomorrow!
The Shining Star BOM was put on by Pink Castle Fabrics as one of their monthly clubs. The quilt pattern was designed by Jeni Baker and it uses her first fabric collection Color Me Retro.
This is my all time favorite star in the entire quilt! It is so easy to piece together but it looks really complicated.
This is another one of my favorite star blocks. Plus you can never go wrong with an Ohio Star.
I got the entire top pieced during William's nap time. Thank goodness he took a 2 hour nap today lol. Now I just need to order fabric for a backing and for binding, then figure out how to quilt it. I can't wait to get this finished up :) I have sooo many WIPs that I am not letting myself start anything new until at least half of my WIP list has been crossed off.

ReplyDeleteYou are so talented! I need a hobby like you lol
ReplyDeleteThese really are shining stars - they will twinkle beautifully wherever the finished quilt ends up - perfect for a peaceful night's sleep I would say.
ReplyDeleteQuilting ADHD is something I suffer from too...so many fabrics...so many projects... But, if you have to order backing fabric and binding fabric, what are you going to work on while you wait?
ReplyDeleteoh, I LOVE all of the different stars!! There is so much to look at!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing at Needle and Thread Thursday!
