Lucky Stars QAL Progress
Now that I have gotten over my vacation coma from last week, I'm getting back to sharing some fun. This summer has been a pretty productive few months. We moved, I got everything unpacked, and I have tackled a ton of sewing projects!
The lovely ladies over at Quilt Story have been hosting a Quilt Along over the past month and I have loved being a part of it! Anyone who follows me on Instagram, has seen this quilt come together slowly but surely. As much as I want to keep this quilt for myself, I am giving it to my sister as a belated birthday present.
The colors look so beautiful in person, and this picture gives a pretty close representation to how they actually look. I used a Blogger Bundle that I bought over at Pink Castle Fabrics plus a couple fat quarters that I got from my local quilt shop. I love it!
The quilt along over at Quilt Story was tons of fun, and it went at a great pace. Each week there was something new to accomplish, and at the end they gave us a 3 week grace period to get things finished up before the final link up of projects.
Now I just need to figure out how I want to quilt this, or decide if I want to send it off to be quilted on a long-arm. I was toying with the idea of doing straight line quilting because I think I could get the quilt through my machine pretty easily. We shall see :)

Those colors are so beautiful. What a lucky sister you have :)
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful. I did diagonal straight line quilting on Lucky Stars with my sewing machine and it went okay.
