DIY Wall Clock
For Christmas Jeff and I received one of those clocks with the little frames for numbers you can personalize. At first I had no clue what to do with it. I thought about putting pictures in the little frames, but I didn't really like that idea. However after some brainstorming and a trip to Hobby Lobby, I figured out I could use scrapbook paper to personalize it for each season.
William as always is being a super helpful little boy :)
This project was super simple and it took less than an hour to complete. All you need is a design-it yourself clock, scrapbook paper, number stickers, and scissors. I grabbed scrapbook paper for the next three holidays; Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter.
All you need to do is use the included template to trace 12 circles onto the back of your scrapbook paper, cut them out, number them 1-12, put them in the frames. Hooray you're done! I told you it was super simple : )
Cutting out the circles took the most time out of all the steps combined. The template that was included with the kit was quite a bit larger than the actual circle frames, so I had to go back and trim the edges on most of the circles.
Now I have to make the circles for St. Patrick's Day and Easter, plus all the other holidays in the year.
It took me a few days to figure out where to hang it, but I eventually decided to put it on the wall by the kitchen. Now it's the first thing I see in the morning when walking down the hallway. I have to say I am pretty proud of how evenly the numbers turned out because I basically eyeballed my spacing on everything. If I stared at it consistently I could probably see the mistakes (like right now while writing this post :) but for day to day use it is perfect!
I can't wait to make circles for all the other holidays and seasons. What would y'all do with a clock like this?
This is awesome!! I need a diy wall clock. I love that the paper can be switched for a new holiday too. How great is that?!?
