Finger Painting
This past weekend William and I finger painted for the first time, and it was an interesting experience. He was more interested in looking around the backyard and wanting to go and play. He would dip his fingers in the paint and then just look at his hand. It was super cute.
I bought vinyl letters at Hobby Lobby and spelled his name out on a canvas for him to paint over. I dipped his had in the paint and guided his hand over the canvas. After a little while he got into it, but then he got distracted and got finger paint all over the porch :)
I think his first finger painting turned out pretty cute.
Isn't his little ponytail cute :) I love his curls, but his hair is so unmanageable now that it goes down past his nose. The worst is when he has a runny nose and it gets stuck in his boogers. He really needs a haircut, but we are waiting until we go to Disney World for Thanksgiving and he's going to get it cut at the barber shop on Main Street. 35 days till Disney!
He loves sitting in his daddy's chair on the back porch. We got the chairs at Home Depot at the end of the summer when they were on sale for $12 a piece. They are so comfortable, and I love the color :)
Thankfully finger paint is washable, and it came right off of the chairs.
His painting looks great hanging on the wall in his room. I think we might have to try finger painting again sometime soon.

Hi Charlene! That's a really cute project. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a note.
ReplyDeleteI do like Fuzzi Bunz and have a few, but my honestly favorite diapers are BumGenuis One Size with snaps. After cloth diapering for the last 11 1/2 years, I go with what's super easy these days. :)
By the way, your email from blogger is set to no reply, so that others can't respond to your comments (having the email linked is a great way to establish relationships :)
Thanks! I have been wanting to try BumGenuis, but I haven't added any to my stash yet :)
DeleteI actually used the link on your blog to figure out how to set my email to reply :)
looks like such fun! I think I need to wait a bit longer before my 7 month old starts to finger paint, but it won't be long =)
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun! It seems like just yesterday William was 7 months old. They grow up so fast!
DeleteI love this idea for finger painting! Love your pictures too :)
